Rough draft of Annotated Bib due Monday (for only 3 of your sources). One of these sources should be a documentary--we haven't clarified this in class yet. See Monday's plan below!
Rough draft of research paper due Tuesday, Oct. 8.
Monday, 9-30:
Students need to show their rough draft
Annotated Bibliography—in googledocs or a print version, to verify they have at
least 3 completed bibliographic entries, with the accompanying annotation. More
is fine, but please indicate if they are not complete on the attached
gradesheet.
After
verifying their work, students move to their self-selected REVISION groups (3-4 students) with their
drafts/Chromebooks. Using the checklist from the blog, and any other resources
we have used in class, students should peer edit one another’s drafts and
discuss how to improve them. A copy of the rubric is on the class blog.
If there is
time, revision groups should also share/discuss the documentary sources they
watched as homework, using the same techniques (summarize, consider validity,
credibility, currency).
