THURSDAY REMINDERS:

Don't forget that your presentation slides will be submitted on Monday. They CANNOT be changed after Monday. This means that your priority on Thursday is to make sure the visual presentation is exactly what you want to display to ENHANCE your argumentative presentation (think audience-centered and value-added).

We will discuss emerging themes from the first two articles in the second half of class.

Today's Agenda:

(60 min) Create argumentative presentations, based on informative papers. This task is a part of your official AP score. You can help each other. You CANNOT ask advice or feedback from the teacher. Chromebooks will be available. Stay on task! (Help each other focus.)

For the last 30 minutes, after the Chromebooks have been properly stored and plugged in to be charged, read the article excerpt “Looking-Glass House” and the article “Extra Sensory Perception” carefully, then journal on the possible themes that could emerge from these two texts in your journals. We will discuss theories on Thursday.
HW for MONDAY:
Bring a NEW, revised, printed draft of your Individual Research Report for class.
Be sure you have a correctly formatted Works Cited page included.
Your target is still 1200 words (excluding heading and Works Cited).
HW for Tuesday, 2-6: Find 2-3 additional sources (think DEEPER, not broader) for your topic and solidify your lens/approach to the group topic. Stay informative--show us what you learned.

HW for Thursday, 2-8: Rough draft due
HW for 2-1: Bring one academic source for your group topic to class

HW for 2-5: Bring THREE printed academic sources for your LENS, related to your group's topic.
