Upcoming Deadlines:
Rough draft of Annotated Bib due Monday (for only 3 of your sources). One of these sources should be a documentary--we haven't clarified this in class yet. See Monday's plan below!
Rough draft of research paper due Tuesday, Oct. 8.

Monday, 9-30:

Students need to show their rough draft Annotated Bibliography—in googledocs or a print version, to verify they have at least 3 completed bibliographic entries, with the accompanying annotation. More is fine, but please indicate if they are not complete on the attached gradesheet.
After verifying their work, students move to their self-selected REVISION groups (3-4 students) with their drafts/Chromebooks. Using the checklist from the blog, and any other resources we have used in class, students should peer edit one another’s drafts and discuss how to improve them. A copy of the rubric is on the class blog.

If there is time, revision groups should also share/discuss the documentary sources they watched as homework, using the same techniques (summarize, consider validity, credibility, currency).

The CALENDAR for this class has been corrected/updated significantly as of 9-23-19. Please use the updated version located here on the blog until you get a new paper copy for October.
Due to my absence 9-23:

Using the example we created last week in class (posted on the class blog) and the checklist (also on the blog), write your annotations for both of the articles you found. If you watched your documentary already (due by Sept. 30), you can also work on that annotation. Don't forget you need multiple perspectives/lenses. You may to work in partners, after 30 min, to get feedback. I will do individual checks when I return.
I am moving the other discussion, and the AP class sign-up paperwork, to the day I return.

UPDATE: After thinking about the scanner errors on the article (Ch. 3 "Food"), we will just check out the text tomorrow at the beginning of class and then use it for the next week. This will save print, but you won't have to keep the text for too long. See you in class!

Once you have logged in, select the class and the assignment (AP Seminar, then Summer Assign). DON'T COPY and PASTE. Use the drop-down menu to select Upload, or connect it to your googledocs account. Make sure you see the submission receipt before closing out.

Well done! See you in class!
